JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for the management and coordination of the end-to-end operational delivery and implementation process of the solution within the project. The Service Delivery Manager will guarantee an efficient execution of all operational tasks within the scope of the project. Ensure the solution deployment and operations according to the agreed scope and schedule. The Service Delivery Manager will be provided training on the operational delivery processes and procedures by Smartmatic. The Service Delivery Manager will report to the Project Manager.  

PROFILE

The candidate should be able to demonstrate proficient expertise in all service deliveryand project management disciplines; practical knowledge of the operational and services delivery processes within the high-tech business sector; excellent organizational and coordination skills. The Service Delivery Manager must be able to identify areas for improvement, implement procedures and standards, train and drive the service delivery teammembers towards successful and cost efficient project deliverables.    

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Overall responsible to deliver and implement the service solution and apply best operational practises
  • Prime on the development of the service delivery components of the overall service solution and advise on the best operational practices to be applied to an individual customer project
  • Ensure the solution minimises operational and financial risks
  • Implement and optimize the proposed service solution
  • Validate the planned strategy and approach with the internal service delivery experts to ensure that service components and deliverables are supportable
  • Define the required skills, knowledge, roles and responsibilities for the operations teammembers
  • Assess the required resource costs and assignment duration for a customer project implementation
  • Support the recruitment process for the required resources and ensure the continuity for the duration of the project
  • Management of Third Party service providers across the delivery process
  • Proactively identify, manage and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Participate the lessons learned sessions and action plan definition. Aim for continuous process improvement and guarantee best practices are applied within own service delivery functional area
  • Monitor and manage internal and external customer satisfaction in relation to the project service delivery process.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Computer or IT Sciences or related area
  • 10+ years of professional experience within Operations and Service Delivery domain of the IT Services or telecommunication business sector
  • At least 6 years of experience in leadership positions, managing teams and interacting with functional units
  • Practical knowledge of the project management disciplines
  • PMI PMP or similar recognized Certification is an advantage
  • Technical background, with experience in IT Projects desirable
  • Preferred experience in delivering projects for government entities
  • Staff management experience
  • Service Delivery experience (training development, helpdesk, 2nd line support, dispatch and field support)
  • Supplier and Partner Management expertise
  • Budget management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools: MS Project and MS Office
  • Experience with incident management and field support systems and
  • Analytical and result oriented
  • Effective problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work in cross-functional environment
  • Excellent organization and planning capabilities. Multi-tasking skills
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability. Able to work under pressure
  • English proficiency minimum at level C1, native Italian speaker
