Converger Spa, an IT Consulting Company is looking for an important multinational company:
Network Installation Technician
is a professional specialized in the installation, configuration and maintenance of networking devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, access points and other telecommunications equipment such as LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi networks and major connectivity technologies.
Role and Responsibilities
His main task is to ensure the proper functioning of network infrastructure; his responsibilities include:
- Installation and Configuration.
- Installation and physical connection of network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, access points, network servers).
- Initial configuration of devices, setting IP addresses, subnet masks, gateways and VLANs.
- Installation of software and firmware updates for proper operation of equipment.
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, VPN, MPLS).
- Experience with equipment from manufacturers such as Cisco, MikroTik, Juniper, Ubiquiti, HP, and others.
- Configuration of wired and wireless networks.
- Use of network diagnostic tools (Wireshark, Ping, Traceroute, SNMP).
- Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.
Soft Skills
- Problem solving and ability to work under pressure.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in installation and configuration.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Flexibility and availability for after-hours or on-site work.
Tools Used.
Hardware:
- Routers, switches, firewalls (Cisco, MikroTik, Juniper, Fortinet, HP, Ubiquiti)
- Ethernet cables, fiber optics, Wi-Fi access points
- Network testers, crimpers, fiber optic pliers.
Software:
- CLI console (PuTTY, SecureCRT)
- Diagnostic tools (Wireshark, Nmap, NetFlow).
The role requires the use of the English language at an advanced C1/C2 level
Location and working arrangements: onsite travel in Rome, Aprilia and Latina
