About the job
Henesis is looking for an Machine Learning Engineer to join its growing and highly motivated Research & Development ML team. The successful applicant will work on the development of a medical device for tele-rehabilitation (ARC-Intellicare), based on wearable inertial sensors and a mobile application.
Henesis has its HQ in Parma, an office in Pisa and Padova. Closeness to Parma is preferred, but we will also consider the proximity to Padova office. Hybrid working is also available. While being able to work closely with others, he or she will also need to demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced machine learning algorithms and models. Your expertise will contribute to the design and development of intelligent systems in the biomedical field, with extensive use of state of art ML algorithms. The main tasks are:
Responsible for designing and the implementation of ML based frameworks and solutions.
Responsible for working at the intersection of data science and software engineering to translate the results of our R&D and projects into re-usable libraries, tooling and products.
Responsible for staying up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning, data science, and fintech trends, contributing to the continuous improvement of technology stack and processes.
Required Criteria
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering BSc, MSc or PhD in a STEM discipline
3+ year of working experience with a role in ML Engineering or Data Engineering.
Experience in the analysis of physical data, especially physiological ones.
Experience with Python and its data science libraries and at least one other language between C/C++, Matlab/Octave, Java and R.
Experience with deep learning models development and analysis, as well as with any other algorithmic field connected with prediction, especially time series analysis, bayesian and inferential statistics.
Software engineering experience with the following tools: Git, repo management services like Github/Gitlab, environment isolation tools like Docker.
Experience in MLops using MLflow.
Experience with Linux Ubuntu/Debian distribution and with bash shell scripting.
Experience with at least one relational or NoSQL DBMS and with DataOps
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Eligible to live and work in Italy (Italian work permit or citizen of EU country is a must. In case relocation is required.)
